Astrology And Numerology

Astrology and numerology, is there really anything to it or is it just so much garbage? Could this guy actually be right about astrology and numerology?

My love affair with astrology and numerology started off with a free reading online. At the time, I was pretty skeptical that there could be a connection between astrology and numerology, or that divination could work at all. I have always been a pretty committed rationalist, and I never put much stock in astrological charts, love match horoscopes, or any of the rest of it. I figured that the universe was a logically ordered place structured and governed by concrete rules.

In a small way, that astrology and numerology reading changed my life forever. It was uncanny how well an automatic numerology program worked. Based on a numerological analysis of my name, it told me my wife’s name, my dad’s name, and the month of my birth. I could not figure out how it worked, but it seemed to. If it was just a coincidence, I’m pretty flabbergasted that such an unlikely thing could happen by chance.

Since that day, I have read every astrology and numerology book that I can get my hands on. There are literally tens of thousands of books on astrology, and quite a few on numerology as well. Although some of the books have been more helpful than other, all of them have helped me to some degree. The experience that I had led me to really change my world view, and those books were a big help in doing it.

A few of my friends were a bit disappointed to see that I had become interested in astrology and numerology. I hang out with some pretty hardcore rationalists, and a lot of them felt like it was a betrayal. My response to their criticisms was that they should try an astrological reading themselves. A few of my friends took me up on the prospect, with mixed results. Some of them still stayed skeptical, but at least one found the experience quite uncanny and started to think about the possibility that there is more to the world than meets the eye.

Nowadays, my experience with astrology and numerology is a little less important than it used to be. I’ve gotten used to the fact that numerology is real, so I’m a little bit less obsessed with it. Even so, it still helps me on a daily basis in many different parts of my life. I get numerological readings every week or two, and count on them to help me make decisions. I also am more humble, understanding how much in the world I don’t understand for once. I think I hang out with a sort of different crowd too. There are fewer scientists, but more dreamers in my circle of friends. In some ways, my new friends are even more inspiring than my old ones.
