Could it be a fiendish govt plot to do our part in global warming and actually getting healthy again. Isn’t that what the current gas crises is going to do?
Sheesh, I hate to say it but the Govts. do nothing attitude about global warming and pollution looks like it might turn out to be a good thing. Somehow I don’t see govt as seeing this as a bad precedent, in the future. So we now have good reasons to do nothing. If it works for the govt it should work for us.
You really do have to admit that we are a fat, overfed nation that pollutes way more than it’s share but the gas crisis is taking care of that. Do you suppose the govt is letting all of this happen on purpose as a way to force us all to pollute less, eat less and get more fit because we can’t afford to buy gas and eat.
People are soon going to have to make choices they’ve never had to make before. When it comes down to health, food, gas and electricity it’s going to be interesting to see what choices they make. All because of a fiendish govt plot involving the price of oil.
Perhaps it is a way to get healthier as people will walk more or share rides more often. They’ll probably eat more fresh vegetables too as they will be cheaper than what’s been shipped in from 5 states away.
There will be less pollution as people just won’t be able to afford all of the heatlh care, food, gas and elect. they used to seldom think about. At the very least needless driving will be a thing of the past, then turning the A/C up so it’s a little warmer. Oh, they’ll turn off lights and replace bulbs and the smart ones may even use plugin strips so they can truly turn off the VCR, TV etc.
But your bills next year will be higher than this year and you will be conserving more energy and polluting less and eating healthier. Yep, it’s all a fiendish govt plot. The only thing I truly hate about it tho is at some point in the future the govt is going to point back to it and say, “see, everything worked out okay back then. Lets do nothing this time too.:
Ooffff, I’m out of breath from running so hard just to stay in one place. See, it is working, I’m getting more fit and eating less. No sir, none of those personal trainers for me, all I needed was gas at a high enough price.
