Miss USA controversy with Miss California Carrie Prejean
Why is there a Miss USA controversy with Miss California Carrie Prejean? Should Carrie Prejean have been more circumspect with her controversial answer? IMO there should be no Miss USA controversy at all. IMO Perez Hilton is an idiot.
Miss California, Carrie Prejean, the Miss USA runner up answered a question from Perez Hilton about gay marriage and he didn’t like the answer. To bad to sad. I don’t think it was a question for a Miss USA pageant anyway.
So the idiot didn’t like Miss Californias answer. Just because someone’s in a beauty pageant doesn’t mean they have to reflect Hiltons views or anyone else’s. I though Carrie Prejean did a great job answering the question and I though she was true to her principles. What more can you ask for in a person? I thought she set a good example for everyone with her forthrightness. After all, isn’t honesty more important than satisfying some gay bloggers stupid question. All in all I suspect he asked the question to get more publicity for himself.
This morning on the Early show he had a lunatic moment where he suggested she could have answered the question differently without compromising her principles. Basically he suggested she should have spun the question like a politician would have rather than answering it honestly from her heart.
Hilton may be an idiot who likes spin as a way of getting around hard questions. I’m sure, with that attitude he has lots of unrequited love for tons of politicians. Suggesting someone compromise their principles by spinning an answer so he likes it rather than telling he truth is the most unmitigated stupidity I’ve seen in a long time.
The Miss USA controversy is a tempest in a teapot. Carrie Prejean has a right ot her opinion and to her beliefs, as does Hilton, even when the fool is wrong. Just becasue this fool doesn’t agree with her is no reason to cause her all the problems the dumb ass is causing her.
Given a choice I’d much rather spend time with someone like Miss California than a self aggrandizing fool like Perez Hilton. Someone who has the courage of her convictions and is willing to stand up for them is someone I respect. For whiners like Hilton I have no respect. None, Zip, Nada.
This Miss USA controversy with Miss USA runner up, Miss California, Carrie Prejean, should be, in my opinion, a controversy over Hilton asking an inappropriate question. Perhaps next year the Miss USA pageant will do a better job of what questions are allowed. Then there will be no Miss USA controversy next year.

Oh, and if anyone cares, I don’t give a damn about gay marriage or straight marriage. It’s a very stupid controversy IMO. What I do care about is honesty and integrity and Miss California certainly had that. When we chastize people for being honest and standing up for their principles there is something wrong. I certainly have a lot of respect for Carrie Prejean, Miss California, and none for Perez Hilton.

Don’t we have a 1st amendment right to speak openly and freely? The advocacy group pushing the right for gay-marriage don’t have a problem voicing their opinion. Since when did this group decide that we must all adopt THEIR view to be correct? I share Miss California’s view and am glad she had the intestinal fortitude to not bow to pop-culture political correctness. Hopefully whoever writes these loaded questions will learn a lesson from this to not bring political issues into an arena such as this.

But if she is supposed to represent the US in some kind of Miss Universe pageant, it’s probably better to not have a close-minded moron speaking on behalf of this country. Then again, maybe she actually does represent people in this country – a country of idiots. Just because she believes something, that doesn’t make it right, or fair, regardless of whether it’s her honest opinion or not. I personally support gay marriage – I don’t see how it could screw up kids or morals any more than any of the millions of dysfunctional heterosexual marriages in this world. But I would also say, leave it states to decide for themselves. End of story.

I think it is wonderful the way Carrie stood her ground,
I and many others agree with her. Carrie is correct in
her belief and we and many others are on her side.

It appears Miss California is in still more trouble for posing semi nude. Lol, I fail to see why this should be a problem. A bigger problem for me is the fact the California Beauty Pagent paid for breast implants.
She believed in truth when she said she was not for gay marriage but fake boobs are not truth to my way of thinking. The fact the pagent paid for them is even worse.
Kinda proves the point that beauty pagents are about looks doesn’t it? Just like Playboy is about the pics even if you do read the articles.
Now considering it’s all about beauty why even bother to ask the stupid questions that purportedly are to show their intelligence. Just parade their asses and enhanced boobs in string bikinis and let the people vote for the best looking one and make her the winner.
That would make the pagents what they really are. Meat markets where the best looking babe wins. Lets get back to what they rally are and decide the winner by internet voting.
Oh, and the idiot Perez Hilton should be banned from judging beauty pagents unless they are gay men beauty pagents. ROTF, good luck with getting anyone to watch that.

You know there are morons on both side of this issue, just because someone has a strong will and mind about her convictions, does not mean that all of America is as weak minded and stupid enough to follow whatever is pushed on them by the democrates or cnn, the media in general. I thought there was a separation of church and state in our public school systems, I guess not if the schools let gays preach their religon, and then blow the whistle if a conservative opinion is scheduled there also, I remember when we were proud to say “One Nation Under God” You take polls on the elections and America voices her opinion everytime! The out right Paganism has got to stop! What was this country based on anyway?

Paganism has got to stop? Huh? Religion is based on paganism. A lot of the things we celebrate in religion are pagan based. Would you have us stop the Easter Bunny?
Just because Rush Limbaugh and Perez Hilton are idiots doesn’t mean the rest of the country is.
Actually this country was based on Puritanism as that’s why the first boats from England came here. Religious freedom. We still have that freedom today whether your religion is Wicca, Hindu or Catholic.
