Subliminal advertising and inserting subliminal messages in advertising are supposed to be illegal. However there is more than one way to get subliminal messages in advertising, legally.
Actually it’s fairly simple and you see it all the time but you don’t notice it. Of course, if it’s sbubliminal you wouldn’t notice it would you? Haven’t you ever wondered why a lot of products marketed to women are in the shape of an erect penis. Lol, I’ll leave that up to you to figure out why that is.
For men it’s a bit different. For instance, if I use a certain kind of body spray or a certain brand of cologne I’m supposed to believe women are going to fall all over me. Being a realist I know that’s not going to happen but when I’m at the store looking at products can you guess which ones leap to the top of my conciousness?
My subconcious knows I want women to fall all over me, particularly women as beautiful and sexy as those in the ads. So it does exactly as advertisers want it to do. It tells me to pick one of those and I’ll have all the sexy, beautiful and erotic women I want. Lol, yeah, right. Subliminal sex advertising at it’s finest.
Here’s what the FTC has to say about subliminal advertising.
“Is it legal to use subliminal advertising techniques?” Answer, “It would be deceptive for marketers to embed ads with so-called subliminal messages that could affect consumer behavior. However, most consumer behavior experts have concluded that such methods aren’t effective.”
I wonder who pays those experts because subliminal learning was proven to work by the Army during World War 2 when they used it to train people to identify our enemies war planes. It was highly effective so I conclude, contrary to the consumer experts, that it works very well for identifying products and for learning and probably advertising over the long term.
There is a minimum time that is used to distinguish what is subliminal advertising and every ad you see on TV, Videos or the Movies must be above that amount of time to be legal. However if I was an advertiser, since the advent of VCRs and fast forward, I’d have made my ads so that when they were fast forwarded they would contain subliminal messages. DVRs and TIVO make it even easier.
I’d have to say that the subliminal sex, subliminal seduction and anything else to do with attracting a woman probably isn’t going to work to well. Altho I have used it in the past. Vanilla scented candles, soft music, etc. but it’s all so cliche. Maybe because it works but I have no scientiffic proof, only anecdotal. It works for me.
I believe it works best for subliminal learning and I use it frequently for that purpose. If you’d like to read more about subliminals you can find another article about it at this address. Subliminal messages – Do they really do subliminal advertising?
