I don’t know about you but I thought this”Women aren’t as capable as men” crap went the way of the Dodo bird about 20 years back. Worse yet it was a nationally recognized woman who said it. Sheesh, ladies, with advocates like her you sure don’t need any more enemies.
The question was can a mother of five, including an infant with Downs Syndrome be an effective Vice President. Speaking of Sarah Palen, McCains great pick for Vice President.
Washington Post coulumnist Sally Quinn disagreed and said it wasn’t possible. She was particular preturbed over the fact that Palen could become President and wouldn’t have time to run the country because she’d be taking care of her children.
It’s just my opinion but I think she’d be a lot better able to run the country than Quinn is at writing her column. To bad she doesn’t seem to realize Obama has two children also. Does that mean he’s not capable of being president. Does Quinn have a double standard or are men more capable than women.
Obviously Quinn isn’t all to capable on her own as without her husband I doubt she’d have her job. To bad she’s not capable of coherent thought.
I kinda think that whether it’s a father as President or a mother as president they will both be capable of doing the job. If age isn’t an issue, if experience doesn’t matter then why should motherhood or fatherhood matter either. Sally Quinn is a flake in my opinion.
