I ran across this page Perfect Turkey Gun while I was looking for something else and then read the article previous to it also. I think, under the right circumstances and with a guide I might just be able to bag me a turkey next spring.

Considering I was born in Minnesota, which is next door to South Dakota I check out some of the fishing articles that were on the South Dakota Fishing link and found something else I’ve never done.

I’ve fished for catfish before but it’s not my preferred fish to catch. Personally I’d rather catch Northern Pike or Walleyes but if nothing else is biting I’ll fish for catfish if they are biting.

Now the way these people were fishing and catching catfish was very interesting and I’d heard of it before but it’s not something I ever plan on doing. Noodling or grabbling they called it.

No way, with my copd, I could go wading around in rivers grabbing catfish with my hands and fighting them to get them out of there holes. It’s just another old time thing that I found fascinating.

Had I discovered it when I was a lot younger I’d have given it a try but not now. No sense dying over a fish I’m not going to eat anyway. But, like I said, I also found that article interesting. I think in the future I’m going to check out that site a little more often as they have a very good fishing forum too.
