The fat tub of goo, Limbaugh, saying it is one thing but for Bobby Jindal to say it is entirely another.

Do these fools not understand that if Obama fails the United States fails? Do these fools no know that if Obama fails there is no Republican or democratic plan that will undo that failure in the next 20 years.

Do these fools not understand that if Obama fails we will be a 2nd rate nation begging for scraps and not getting any?

Funny, the Republicans say disagreeing with the President and wanting him to fail is not unpatriotic. However anyone who didn’t agree with president bush on the war, torture, violating civil rights, energy or anything else was branded as unpatriotic. This is about as big a flip flop as there can be.

If Obama’s plans and policies fail this country will spend the next 20 years climbing out of the hole we’ll be in. To me that’s unpatriotic and deserves to be treated with all due disrespect. Stupidity at it’s partisan finest.

Disagreeing with the Commander in Chief is our constitutional right. However it’s one thing to say, I disagree and here’s what we should be doing to solve our problems and it’s totally another to say you outright want the President to fail.

Of course the same people who want Obama to fail are the exact same people who passed the legislation allowing the peanut problem to happen. The exact same people who have gutted the inspectors and laws requiring food to be sanitary and fit for human consumption. The exact same people who deregulated the banking and insurance industries and caused the mess we’re now in.

With that background I can understand them wanting Obama to fail. If Obama does fail how many more people will die because the idiots still think deregulation industries and letting them police themselves will save tax dollars. Maybe, if a life is worth nothing.

Seems to me it’s the republicans failing that got us to where we are now.

Anyway, on to the subject of gas prices and ways to [...]]]> Don’t Obama and McCain make a nice political circus. Now even Paris Hilton has gotten involved. I find that very highly amusing. The fact that Paris finally did something amusing is almost unfathomable to me as I’m not a fan of the silly little girl.

Anyway, on to the subject of gas prices and ways to save gas and money. Of course McCain thinks Barack is crazy. Lol, I think the McCain camp is crazy for the spin they tried to put on that one. Sheesh. Stupidity at it’s finest.

One tire down by just 4 #s can affect your gas mileage by 8%. McCain and the republicans are showing what damn fools they are by making jokes about tire pressure like it’s the Obama energy plan.

Two other very cheap things you can do to save gas is make sure at your next oil change you get 5w-30 oil and make sure your air filter is clean.

Changing your oil to 5w-30 will save you some gas but not as much as having your tires properly inflated.

A dirty air filter can cost you a ton of money. Depending on how dirty your air filter is you could get mileage up to 20% better than you are now. Even if it’s only a little dirty it still costs you money.

Say your vehicle averages 15 miles per gallon. If you make the simple and cheap changes mentioned above you could be getting A lot closer to 20 MPG than you are now. For the sake of keeping it simple lets say it’s 19.5 mpg so you save 4.5 mpg just by doing the above.

What’s that translate into money. If gas is $3.80 per gallon and you have a 20 gallon tank that means, if the tank is empty, it costs you 76.00 to fill up and you can go 300 miles before the tank is empty again.

If you make the changes above you could go 390 miles on the same gas or 90 miles farther on one tank of gas. Now divide 90 miles by the 15 mpg and you get 6 gallons. 6 gallons times 3.80 is 22.80.

A 22 dollar savings means that at $3.80 per gallon doing the above maintenance will save you 200 bucks between oil changes. Now if you think that spending 15 bucks for a new air filter isn’t really worth the savings I think you’d better reconsider.

McCain also said we could have oil from offshore drilling in months, not 7 years. Well come on John, prove that statement. How is that going to happen? It takes time to get a drilling platform out there, it takes time to drill the well and get it to a productive state and it takes time to get the mechanisms in place to get the oil to shore.

None of the oil companies are known for moving particularly fast, except when raising prices, so an explanation of how we can open offshore drilling and have oil from those wells in months instead of the 7 years that’s so often spoken about. McCain is going to have to prove it to me.

Me, I think I’ve gone fishing and I may stay fishing until after the elections. It’s turning into theater of the absurd. At least fishing is straightforward and the only spinning is done with a fishing reel.

Maybe but it’s not offensive to me because I understood it immediately upon seeing it. Parody is often offensive but it sure makes you sit up and take notice doesn’t it.

The whole truth is that eveything that everyone doesn’t like about the cover has been said about Obama by his critics and by a lot of Republicans. So what, it’s okay to say it but it’s not okay to see it in a cartoon. There ya go, ITS A CARTOON.

So why is it okay to say Obama is a Muslim? Why is it okay to knock the fist bump? Why is it okay to lie about Obama’s religion? Why is it okay to say anything bad about Obama? Why isn’t it okay to put the same things people are saying, into a cartoon, to show the absurdity of what people who should know better, believe to be true.

Am I going to vote for Obama? Nope! Obama is to inexperienced and it’s becoming very obvious by his flip flops that he hasn’t thought out his positions on at least 17 issues. If he didn’t have them figured out and organized when he started running, it’s a bit late now so I don’t think he has the experience to deal with world problems.

Does that make me a republican who is going to vote for McCain? Nope. I don’t like McCains plans for the future either. Same old crap that didn’t work for GWB. Why McCain thinks it will work for him is beyond me.

You can’t set a timetable for Iraq because there is know way to know when the Iraqi’s will be ready to take over their own security. Until they can handle it there’s no point i leaving. If we leave before they are ready we might as well not have gone there in the first place. When you start something, FINISH IT.

A comprehensive energy policy is a must if we are to continue as the top dog in the world.
Fixing our economy is a must.
Reforming the tax structure is a must.
Lol, if we are going to be the worlds Police then we are going to have to bring the draft back. We are spread way to thin now and it’s not getting any better.
